REFUND AND RETURNS POLICY
(English Version – Official Language: Italian)Thank you for choosing SIC–DIVISIONE ELETTRONICA S.R.L. (SIC Navy). We stand behind the quality of our marine components. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.
1. Standard Returns (Stock Products)
For standard, non-customized items (such as standard digital gauges, stock sensors, or general electronics), the following conditions apply:
- Return Window: You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
- Condition: To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, uninstalled, and in the same condition that you received it. It must be in the original, undamaged packaging.
- Proof of Purchase: Your return must include the original invoice or proof of purchase.
2. Custom-Designed and Manufactured Products
SIC Navy specializes in high-performance, custom-designed solutions. Please note the following exceptions:
- Custom Tanks: Products manufactured according to client specifications, custom CAD designs, or specific dimensions (including XLPE and polyamide tanks) are non-returnable and non-refundable once production has commenced, unless a manufacturing defect is proven.
- Special Orders: Equipment ordered with specific factory calibrations or custom wiring cannot be returned.
3. Safety and SOLAS Equipment
Due to stringent international maritime safety regulations (MED/SOLAS):
- Emergency Lights: Life jacket lights and flashing buoys can only be returned if the security seals are intact and the product has not been activated or exposed to salt/water.
- Battery-Operated Devices: Items with integrated lithium batteries or specific expiration dates must be inspected by our technical team before a refund is issued.
4. Defective or Damaged Items
In the rare event that you receive a defective product or an item damaged during transit:
- Please contact us immediately at sales@sic.navy with photos of the damage and the packaging.
- Our technical department will evaluate the claim. If the defect is confirmed, SIC Navy will provide a repair, a replacement, or a full refund at no additional cost to the customer.
5. Return Shipping
- Cost: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
- Method: We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
6. Refunds Process
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. After inspection:
- If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment (or bank transfer).
- The credit will be processed within 10 to 14 business days, depending on your card issuer’s or bank’s policies.
